"I first came across Teach4Purpose on TikTok a couple of years ago and reached out to Chanel for a consultation. I immediately loved her energy and knew my son would too. At the time, it wasn’t within our budget, but I knew she would be worth the investment. I made it my mission to continue following her and keep up with enrollment dates and this year was finally our year. Not only was I able to enroll my fifth grader, but I also enrolled my first grader. My only concern was that my boys would not be available for every session. However, Chanel reassured me that each session would be recorded so they could watch anything they missed. That was a huge relief, and it made catching them up easy—especially with the packet that was provided. Even though the program only lasted two months, I saw a positive impact on both of my boys. The biggest impact for me was watching my first grader and fifth grader grow in confidence and engagement throughout the summer. Being part of her summer program exceeded my expectations and was even better than I had imagined all those years ago. My boys absolutely loved Chanel, but the most noticeable change was in my shy fifth grader. Week after week, I watched him become more confident and willing to participate. He began engaging more, speaking up more often, and truly enjoying the learning experience. I also noticed growth in both of their reading skills. They became more patient and intentional while reading, taking the time to sound out and correctly pronounce more challenging words instead of rushing through them. I could see their confidence increasing with every session. Because of the incredible experience we had this summer, my rising second grader will continue growing with Teach4Purpose in the fall program.
